Healthcare & Free Diagnostic Services

CDF is committed to closing the healthcare access gap in underserved and rural communities by operating an active Free Diagnostics Hub Laboratory in Hub, Balochistan. In an area where many families delay or entirely skip testing due to cost and distance, our facility provides reliable, timely diagnostic services completely free of charge - helping people detect illness early, begin treatment sooner and avoid preventable complications. At the heart of this work is our belief that diagnostics are not a luxury; they are the first and most essential step in saving lives - especially for women, children and people living with infectious and chronic disease risks.

What the Hub Laboratory Provides (Free of Cost)?

Our laboratory offers a broad range of testing and clinical support, covering up to 14,000 diagnostic parameters, including routine and specialized investigations such as: At the heart of this work is our belief that diagnostics are not a luxury; they are the first and most essential step in saving lives - especially for women, children and people living with infectious and chronic disease risks.

On average, CDF performs approximately 3,800 to 4,200 tests every month, ensuring consistent, high-volume support to community members who otherwise have limited or no access to affordable diagnostics.

WOMEN’S HEALTH

Women’s Health, Gynecology & Maternal Care Support

A key feature of the Hub facility is its focus on women’s healthcare, where delayed diagnosis can lead to serious outcomes. Through gynecology-linked services and ultrasound support, we help women access screening and consultations in a dignified setting - especially those who cannot afford private clinics or travel to larger cities for routine imaging and assessments. CDF continues strengthening women-centered care pathways so that diagnostics translate into practical next steps, including clinical guidance and referral when needed.

CHILDREN HEALTH

Pediatric Support (Children’s Health)

CDF also supports pediatric and child health services, recognizing that children in low-resource settings are often diagnosed late due to financial barriers. Our setup enables children and caregivers to access essential diagnostics and medical guidance locally. We have doctors available on-site, enabling families to better understand reports and act promptly - particularly in cases where symptoms would otherwise go uninvestigated.

TB Intervention & Sample Collection Pathway

Building on CDF’s broader public health work, the Hub Laboratory contributes to TB intervention by supporting community-level identification and sample collection. Suspected TB cases are managed through a structured pathway:

This approach helps reduce delays in diagnosis - particularly for rural patients who may otherwise not complete the testing journey due to cost and travel barriers.

Qualified Team & Operational Capacity

The Hub Laboratory is supported by a 15-member team designed to ensure both technical quality and smooth patient flow. The team includes: A dedicated 15-member team, including a pathologist, doctors, microbiologists, lab technicians, a phlebotomist, and support staff, ensures a seamless patient journey from registration to results.
